Dolores Demorcy was born on December 4, 1941 in Norwalk Connecticut to Elizabeth Collins and James Gayle.
Dolores was the oldest of the five children in the family. Dolores was raised and schooled in Norwalk. She met a man named Frank Demorcy and they were married in 1966. Frank and Delores relocated to New York for opportunity and settled in the Bronx where they raised their two sons, Pierre and Francois.
Having been educated to be a nurse, Dolores worked in the profession and soon became one of the fine team of dedicated nurses at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York where she worked for 35 years. Dolores was a kind hearted person who would travel, if need be, to come to care for any one who was sick and in need of good care and comfort; she went above and beyond.
On her down time Dolores enjoyed music, dance, live shows and plays. Delores was a devout Christian who was a member of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Church for over 30 years.
Dolores is survived by her son, Francois, nephews, nieces, cousins, her church community, friends, and neighbors.
She will be missed by all those who were blessed to have known her and had her as a part of their life.
