In Loving Memory of Viola Theresa Pugliese
Viola Theresa Pugliese, aged 86, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on October 19, 2025. Viola was born on June 14, 1939, to Luigi and Mary Pugliese in Manhattan, NY. After dedicating herself to raising three children, Viola earned her GED at Kingsborough Community College and continued her education in Criminal Justice at John Jay College. Her deep passion for law enforcement led her to a career spanning over 20 years as a Public Administration Aide with the New York Police Department. She was a dedicated civil servant who took immense pride in serving the public.
Viola was a true jetsetter, always living life on the move. Her love for culture, history, and travel took her to remarkable destinations such as Italy, Switzerland, Malta, Alaska, and many more. Upon retirement, she settled in New Jersey, bringing her spirited Brooklyn roots with her.
Viola was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Crestina. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children: Adam, Eva Marie (Robert), and Michael (Ange); her grandchildren, Elissa (Nick) and Nicholas; her step-granddaughter, Alexsia; her great-granddaughter, Juliette. Her niece, Sabrina, and nephews, Mark and Frank.
